Getting Married in Provence - key things to know.
Can I HAVE A LEGAL CEREMONY?
Yes, you can however there are restrictions to having a legal ceremony, you have to e resident in France for 30 days prior to the wedding. My advice is to sort out the legal aspect in your home country and then have a symbolic ceremony in Provence for your nuptials.
When to get married
Peak season of June to September is best to get married in Provence so expect less availability at hotels, venues, quality (and english speaking) suppliers unless you book well in advance.
Should i Hire a Planner?
I would say definitely yes (or at the very least a wedding day of coordinator) to help you manage the logistics of planning a seamless day. Your planning will also be able to advise you on aspects you have not thought of for your destination wedding.
